Our top story today, Belle Todorovic was named prettiest dog in the world. Runner-up Pluto Todorovic was napping at the time of the judges decision and unable to be reached for comment. The winner remains modest, declaring the victory “no big woof” then continued barking for twenty minutes.
A good friend of Belle’s, the playwright and bon vivant, Al Todorovic, was present at the judging. By his account the judges fell in love with Belle because of her kisses, but also added that Belle needs to sleep in her crib because that’s where baby puppies live. The dogs mother, Miss Massachusetts competitor Tiff Todorovic was unable to be reached for comment.

In the backyard, Daphny has been sitting on the step for most of the day and is expected to return to her duck house later this evening. Asked why she didn’t attend the pageant, Daphny said she “didn’t think it was anything to quack about.
